Designer scarves in brilliant red reflect the excitement of seeing Poinciana trees, which herald the coming of the monsoon season in Tropical Australia, in full bloom.
They make such a splash of colour as the Wet season approaches. Quite large, semi deciduous trees, their stunning flowers unfurl before the bright green, fern-like sprays of tiny leaves fill in the gaps and make a magical backdrop and contrast for the masses of blooms.
It's always exciting to see these flowers emerge, with their special dark red and white markings on one petal of the flower, only. They seem to announce a change in the seasons as days become warmer and humidity increases.
I hope that you will enjoy wearing one of these special tropical scarves - or using them as gifts.
The poincianas scarf has quite a bit of orangey red and also light greens running through it - plus a hint of soft red from a hibiscus stamen. So it looks fabulous with white or any clear orange, red, yellow or green. Perhaps you already have one of these colours in your wardrobe and would like to make it 'sing'?
