This flower print scarf, featuring the beautiful temple flowers or cream frangipanis, is one of the most popular designs in the current Spirit of Oz collection. It evokes the romance and magic of still, moonlit nights, when the flowers' perfume wafts gently in the balmy air. That feeling lingers as you wrap the gorgeous soft silk around you... |

Surrounded by glossy, dark green, spatulate shaped leaves, a cluster of beautiful, five petaled flowers springs from a long stem at the ends of the frangipani tree's branches. Although all frangipani flowers have some perfume, this one is the most delightful, its scent hanging heavily in the cool tropical night air, attracting moths as well as those with romantic visions.
Moths are responsible for pollinating the flowers, as they brush against them, flitting from one to another.
Often used as the flower of choice for weddings in tropical countries, they also lend themselves to being made into leis for ceremonial occasions or floated in bowls as a table decoration.
I couldn't resist making my paintings and drawings of flowers into a frangipani design for fashionable scarves that connect to such interesting cultural and historical stories.

Some, especially the Multi and the Coffee scarves include many shades of each colour so they easily complement a plain coloured outfit. If you follow the links to the page which features a particular design that you like, enlarge it, then hold your plain coloured top or jacket nearby, you should be able to find an echoing colour in the scarf. That way you know that the scarf colours will complement your outfit (they have a colour in common).
